This homeowner knew that their floors were unlevel and that if they kept putting off repairing them, the problem would only get worse and the price to fix it would continue to rise. We removed the old, rusty jacks that were no longer supporting the floor properly, and replaced them with SmartJack Adjustable Steel Posts.
This residence is located in Cupertino CA, our customer came to us with concerns regarding settling issues with his foundation. Doing their research, they found us and set an appointment with our appointment center.
Our Structural Consultant, Steve Mack, came to evaluate their situation. The home had settling and cracking issues in the foundation and interior walls with downhill settlement over -2.5 inches on the left and rear sides. Solving this customers issue would include stabilizing and lifting the foundation walls by installing our push pier system vertically into the Earth until it reached bedrock and to add additional steel where needed to support cracks in the foundation.
A small crack like this can keep a homeowner from being able to sell their home. Our solution is fast and easy: inject epoxy to seal the crack, and then seal the entire area with our Carbon Armor Patch for extra strength to prevent future cracks.
A before and after of a foundation repair project we did in Livermore. The home was settling/sinking in this area of the home. We installed our Push Pier System to repair the foundation. Each push pier is connected to the foundation by a bracket. Each bracket has steel tubes hydraulically pressed vertically into the ground until it reaches bedrock. This allows the foundation to use the bedrock as a means to lift and stabilize the foundation from sinking any further.
Some areas of the floor were under-supported. We installed our SmartJack Adjustable Post System within the crawl space to support those areas. One Steel Beam is placed beneath the existing floor system, then it is supported by a SmartJack on each end that is tightened to lift and stabilize the floor to the desired setting.
