Job Stories From Danville, CA
Damp in Danville

When homeowners in Danville, CA, discovered standing water in their crawl space, it was evident that their home faced significant drainage issues. Understanding the urgency to protect their home’s structural integrity and improve air quality indoors, they reached out to us at Foundation Repair of CA. Our process kicked off with a detailed home inspection performed by one of our experienced System Design Specialists. They took the time to carefully assess the situation, explaining how standing water in a crawl least could impact the home's foundation and overall health.

The solution proposed was to install our CleanSpace system. CleanSpace is a heavy-duty crawl space liner that not only helps in managing water by directing it to a drainage system but also acts as a moisture and vapor barrier. It was the perfect choice for addressing and eliminating the homeowner's water pooling issues effectively.

The CleanSpace system transforms a crawl space from a damp, problematic area into a dry, clean, and healthy space beneath the home.  At Foundation Repair of CA, providing a reliable, long-lasting solution and remarkable customer experience are our priorities.

Concrete Lifting of a Pool Deck in Danville

The owner of this rental property in Danville was thoughtful enough to find a concrete repair contractor who could help him repair his pool deck. He wanted to ensure the safety of his tenants. The pool deck was sinking in a few areas causing cracks and uneven sections that posed potential danger for anyone who walked on it.

To bring the concrete pool deck back to level, our crew injected PolyLevel Polyurethane Foam beneath the entire pool deck. The PolyLevel was injected through 1/8" holes that were drilled in a grid-like fashion to help the crew distribute the foam evenly. After lift was achieved, the holes that were drilled were filled with our very own NexusPro Joint Sealant, which was also used to seal the large cracks that were cause for worry.

Now the owner can rest assured that his pool deck is safe for his current and future tenants.

Looking For A Contract Lifting Contractor in Danville?

If you see cracks on any portion of your home, it's an immediate cause for worry. And the worry is warranted. The cracks will not heal themselves the same way that a broken bone would. It is never cheaper than it is now to fix it.

In the case of this home in Danville, the garage floor was experiencing differential settlement, which means that part of the floor was sinking while the other part stayed still, which was the direct cause of the large crack that extended across the floor from wall-to-wall.

The way to fix this issue would be to injecting Polyurethane Foam beneath the slab. We would do this by drilling 1/8th inch holes in a grid-like pattern throughout the slab, and then inject as much Polyurethane Foam as needed in each hole until the proper amount of lift is achieved. After the lift is completed, the holes would be sealed with our patented joint sealant. The large crack on the garage floor would also be sealed with the same joint sealant.

In Need of A Concrete Repair Contractor in Danville?

A small tripping hazard like this may seem like nothing at all. But when you take into account what a fall could mean for an elderly person, or someone in poor health, this small tripping hazard isn't small at all.

Take the case of this home. The owner was housing his elderly father. He was constantly worried about all of the possible ways that his father could get hurt. He was well-trained childproofing his home when he and his wife were raising their children, but now he had to elderlyproof his home to ensure the safety of the man who raised him.

In Need of A Concrete Levelling Contractor in Danville?

Even though this home was built in 2003, it didn't take long for concrete issues to develop. The homeowner was worried about the patio in his backyard. The patio was sinking and cracking, which was a cause for concern because the roof above the patio was supported by round columns attached directly to the patio. And, if the patio was sinking, then the roof was sure to follow.

With an Empty Nest, It Was Time To Invest In Remodeling Their Home in Danville, CA

Every homeowner who wants to remodel their home needs to make sure that their foundation is healthy before committing to it.

After living in the home for more than 20 years, and with their children all grown up and living elsewhere, Mr. and Mrs. P from Danville decided to invest in remodeling their home.

They started by calling us to inspect their foundation. Our Structural Consultant, Chris Hardy, visited them and performed an inspection. He discovered that the right and rear sides of the foundation were sinking away from the rest of the building. He knew this was the case because of two reasons: 1) In the crawlspace, he saw support posts that were no longer attached to their footings (see photo) and 2) He ran a Zip Level throughout the home and using the front door as the reference point, the rear and right sections of the floor were lower than the rest of the building.

To repair their foundation, our crew installed 25 push piers to lift and stabilize. After the foundation was stable, they installed 15 SmartJack Adjustable Steel Posts--some replaced the wood posts that were no longer attached to the floor system and others were installed near existing wood posts to support them. Now, with a stable foundation, Mr. and Mrs. P can remodel their home to their liking so the next phase of their lives can begin.
