A lot has changed since the 1970's. That decade is often memorialized as being one filled with paranoia. This home was built in 1978, and while our culture above the ground has significantly changed since then, the soil below Mr. C's home also went through a major change.
The crawlspace suffers in silence until it's own problems begin to be problems for the rest of the house. But the time finally came when he wanted to remodel his home. Remodeling your home before fixing your floor and foundation issues is a recipe for disaster. Mr. C called us to his home to do a thorough inspection of his home, including the crawlspace for which our Structural Consultant, Jesse Marquez, got on his belly to do. When the time came to do the work, our crew installed 16 SmartJack Adjustable Steel Posts to lift and stabilize Mr. C's home back to the way it used to be. Now Mr. C can begin the work of remodeling his home with the assurance that his floor won't be in the way.
Mr. Y became aware of a large crack in the concrete under the carpeting of a rental he owned. They property manager contacted Foundation Repair of CA to evaluate the home and it was determined that a back corner of the home had settled causing the concrete to crack.
